A History in the Making in Downtown Camden

The Hilton Garden Inn in Camden was unveiled in December 2020 as the first new hotel in the city in more than 50 years. The 208-room hotel is part of the waterfront redevelopment and was awarded LEED Gold certification. In addition to the spacious guestrooms, there are 20 custom corner suites, two meeting rooms and a large ballroom perfect for hosting special events. The goal was to create an upscale atmosphere that would appeal to both travelers and the local community. Expansive glass throughout the dining area, bar and lounge offers spectacular panoramic views of the Philadelphia skyline, Delaware river and Ben Franklin bridge. The design incorporates organic patterns, warm neutrals, and rich accents of green and blue that visually connect the interior with the scenic exterior views. Rich walnut planked ceilings and millwork add a layer of warmth and contrast to the industrial finishes reflective of Camden’s history.
